electro-deionization
Reading time:Electro-deionization is an electrochemical process using membranes and ion exchange resins without regeneration reagents. Therefore, It is sometimes described as an electrical resin regeneration system in continuous mix-bed. In fact, this process is very similar to electro dialysis, which is described in dialysis membranes.
This process, is used exclusively to water perfectly clarified with low salinity of < 50 µS. It is used as a polishing treatment process, where it replaces conveniently the mixed-bed, especially after reverse osmosis to achieve series of treatments without chemical reagent.
