In April 2005, Western Australia's Water Corporation chose SUEZ to design, build and operate Perth's first seawater desalination plant using reverse osmosis technology, the largest such plant in the southern hemisphere at the time.
Melbourne reverse osmosis desalination plant

The Victorian desalination plant, based near Wonthaggi, is able to provide a source of drinking water independent of rainfall and open-air storage for Melbourne and some regional communities. It will be capable of supplying up to 450,000 m3 of drinking water per day.
