Reading time:Interpreting results still remains an imperfect science. Rates of localised or general corrosion measured on coupons will provide a good indication of the severity of the corrosion and table 8 supplies a conventional evaluation of the results.
Over and above the rate of corrosion, corrosion morphology must also be monitored. Indeed, if, for instance, a new type of morphology were to emerge, steps would need to be taken to ascertain its cause without delay.
