reagent mixers
Reading time:The more effective the water’s preliminary coagulation phase, the higher the quality of its flocculation (see general comments). Therefore, in the coagulation zone, the reagent must disperse almost instantaneously at high velocity gradients. Depending on the technologies applied, the liquid’s contact time will vary from a few seconds to a few minutes and, when the reactors concerned can be isolated, they can be termed coagulation chambers.
In basic water treatment plant, processing relatively warm and easily flocculated water, injecting the reagent direct into a water fall may provide satisfactory results; however, as a rule, a controllable mechanical mixing stage will be required.
